Playing with Texture Pastes

Hi Everyone.
There are so many texture pastes on the market.
I generally use Liquitex brand for most of my art.
But I've been trying to find a good texture crackle paste.
I wanted one where I just needed a thin layer and it would still crackle.
For quite a while I've been playing with Finnabair's Texture Crackle Paste by Prima in white, gold and platinum.

So far I love to use this for cards and small paper projects.
You don't need a lot of paste for it to crackle.
On this tag I used the white crackle through a stencil (TCW203s, Mini Circle Grid) and added gold here and there too.

Here is the finished tag.
The pastes are on thin and it dries very fast.
The crackle is perfect.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. That's a lovely crackle, Karenliz...I'll have to try some. I'm pretty addicted to Kroma Crackle, but I like to hear about this one's short drying time and thin coat ability!

  2. Thanks for sharing this with us, must give it a try. There are so many crackle pastes and they are not all good at getting the effect you want but this looks excellent x

Thanks for the share about the crackle- yes, it is a fine crackle between pastes...try Tim Holtz's also- works pretty good!
