Flower Tiles

Hi Everyone!
I'm on vacation and I'm behind in posting here.
The last few weeks I've been playing catch up with sharing my design team posts for The Crafters Workshop.

I'm almost up to date! YAY!!!

This creation was made using this stencil. Right now it's one of my favorites.

I started out with black and white gesso plus a little crackle paint.

Added some yummy color.

Added more flower tiles with TCW Light & Fluffy Modeling Paste.

I added a wash of black paint on the canvas and wiped it off.
It left the modeling paste black and highlighted all the nooks and crannies on the canvas.

I always do the sides too.

Here is the finished piece.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project.
The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

I'm not fond of cats!

When you're on a design team and one a member of team needs help with a post, I raised my hand and said I would.

That's what happened when Marlene from Art by Marlene wasn't able to do a post I offered to fill in for her. She is also one of the stencil designers for The Crafters Workshop and I asked her to pick out one of her stencils for me to use. A challenge!

I never thought in a million years should would pick her one stencil that would be more of a challenge than she knows.

You see I'm not fond of cats.
In fact they creep me out.
BUT
I thought I could handle this one since it's not alive. LOL

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project.
The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.
Here are the projects I created.  First a journal cover.

Keep Calm and Meow On!
The whiskers are made out of wire.

Next a canvas. I just used the eyes.

The last one is a catscape!
Can you tell how I made the city?

That's right! I made the city from the stripes on the cat.
It's a very old abandoned city I think.
BUT if I squint by eyes I think I see waves.

What do you see in the cat's stripes!

Yupo Painting - Titled: Take Flight

Hi Everyone.
Today I have a quick post showing you a painting I completed on heavy weight Yupo.

I used TCW684 Bird Gathering stencil to add the bird with TCW Modeling Paste.

The Crafter's Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project.
The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

I used painters tape around the edges so I can frame it without cutting off any of the painting.

The heavy weight Yupo can take lots of paint and other mediums such as modeling paste. I'm really loving it.
