STICKY POST-IT NOTES ART - Part II

Hi Everyone.
Tax season part 1 is over but all the work you push to the side to get tax returns done is now a huge pile. Post-It Notes Art will probably continue.

Here are the last ones I created. The bottom right that is not finished but I lost my muse a bit so I left it alone.

You can see my little circle stencil that I used in some of my Post-It Note art. I just used a two-hole punch to punch the hole. I may design a few little hole stencils for my next Post-It Note art creation. You use what's available in the office.
Also, see the mats I used under each note.

Here are a couple of mats. You never know they may turn into art too!

That's it for now.
I'm sure there will be more.
I'm enjoying the small size.

See any you like or gives you inspiration for your next art creation?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Painting with Flower Tiles

A quick post showing you a new mixed media painting I created using the new stencil from The Crafters Workshop called Flower Tiles. I'm loving black, white, gray and silver metallic or gold metallic.

The Crafter's Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project.
The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

I used metallic paste and embossing powders on modeling paste.

The Gathering of Birds

I love birds. When it's warmer outside I love to sit with a cup of tea Sunday mornings and listen to all the birds.  Stencils with birds I gravitate to all the time.

For this Yupo painting I used a new stencil from The Crafters Workshop called Bird Gathering

The Crafter's Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project.
The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

I used heavy weight Yupo this time and I love it. I used TCW modeling paste on it with lots of paints.  Here is what it looked like before I changed it completely.

I love the way the birds seem to disappear into the background but my hands and heart were going for something else.

So I added more birds and paint and changed the feel of the painting.  Here is the bird from the picture above.

I added more texture to the background which made it look like swirls of wind or something like that. I also started to like the light shade and added more white.

Here's the final piece.

I can't wait to get this one framed.
Although I want to start selling my art I keep falling in love with it.
Do you have that problem too?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sticky Post It Notes and Art

Working seven days a week during tax season doesn't give me any time to create art. Getting home late I pop my head in and say hello art room but just go to bed.

That doesn't stop me from creating art with lots of colors. Many times I'm just sitting at my desk waiting for processing tax returns and I use that time to doodle. I don't have a lot of time but the small yellow post it notes work perfectly.

I even have lots of colors to choose from and I buy new colorful pens every tax season.

I can tell what my mood at the moment was based on what I created on the post it notes.  See the one below full of scribbles and the word frustration. There are many days like that.

There are a few that I give me lots of ideas for other projects. I'm still drawing these spikey flowers.

These are from this past week. The face is scary LOL!

I hope you liked my gallery of Post It Notes!
I'm sure there will be more.
