Flowers for Your Birthday

Here is a tag I made for my niece's birthday.
I just added a pocket in the back so hold her gift.

Spray inks, heavy gesso, paper scraps.

The flower is made of wire and deli paper.
I'm going to make many more.
I learned how to create the flower from online workshop from Balzer Designs called Getting Started with Deli Paper.
Its a fun class and Julie  has me hooked on deli paper.

Do you know what the middle of the flower is made from?

It's PAINT!
When you open up a tube of Liquitex Acrylic paint there is dry glue around the opening. I now keep them to add to projects. My god-daughter used them in a painting and loved the idea.
The leaves and stem are made from paper towels. I added gel medium to the leaves so they become stiffer and easy to mold.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
