I'm Playing with the SCACD Steampunk Hummingbird and Flower!

I have the wonderful opportunity to play with Susana's Custom Art & Card Design (SCACD) Steampunk Hummingbird and Flower stamps designed by SCACD Stamp Co rubber stamps .

SCACD has a huge selection of digital and red rubber stamps.
Susana's store is full of other products like dies, embossing flowers, paints, stencils, etc.
You have to go over and see it all.

For my creation I used a 5x5 cradle wood board and created a steampunk base out of metal tape from the hardware store.

For the Steampunk Hummingbird and Flower I stamped them on aluminium sheets and embossed in black.

To add color, I used alcohol inks and silver and gold acrylic inks.

The hardest part was cutting them out of the aluminium.
When I attached the flowers to the piece I cut the petals and shaped them to give them more dimension.

I found these perfect metal flowers in my stash.
I added alcohol inks to the metal flowers.
While the alcohol ink was wet I added the glass beads.
Do you know they stuck there like glue?
I didn't expect that at all.
Everything was attached to the base with heavy gel medium.

Here is my finished piece.
It's so hard to take a picture of something shiny!

I had so much fun making this piece.
My head is spinning with other ideas.
I had to right them down.
So stayed tuned!

Here are the links below to see these steampunk stamps and all the other goodies Susana's Custom Art & Card Designs (SCACD) has to offer.

Don't forget to head over to their Facebook page and like them!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
