Hi Everyone!
Do you have cardboard boxes laying around the house?
Go grab them plus stencils, utility knife/xacto knife, and a pencil.
First, Michelle Ward has me hooked on cardboard. If you like fussy cutting, you will love this.
Take a piece of cardboard, pencil and a stencil.
Trace the stencil (TCW Graceful Flower) on the cardboard.
Next, you will get away the negative space in the stencil.
I used my pencil to fill in those spaces so it's easier.
Continue to cut away the top of the cardboard to reveal whats underneath.
When you are done it will look like this.
Pretty isn't it?
I love it.
I should have started with a stencil with less details but once it was done I'm so glad I used it.
You can see a sample of Michelle Ward's HERE.
Wait until you see the next one!!!
Thanks Michelle!!!
Thanks for stopping by!
Karenliz, I love what you've done with the cardboard carving - you started with an ambitious design but it turned out great. It gives you lots more ideas doesn't it? Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteToo many ideas! I am know writing them down.
DeleteThat's really cool looking.
ReplyDeleteI've not seen that stencil before--what is it called and who makes it? Thanks in advance--btw, awesome technique!
ReplyDeleteThe stencil is from The Crafters Workshop and it's called Graceful Flower. I'm glad you liked the technique.
