Salutations! I would love to learn to draw faces but I believe its not something my hands can do. I had a drawing book for kids which gave you step by step instructions but all the faces I drew looked like zombies! I guess thinking back on it now I should have kept them. They would have made great Halloween cards. Today I have a journal page to show you! Yes, it has a face. Thanks to Crafter's Workshop templates I can draw a face with a little help. Since I use my art journals for experiments I thought it would be a perfect place for Ava (thats what she's named).
I have to play with the placement of her hair on her face. I made the bangs too long. Not bad for my first one! I can look at it and make lots of negative comments BUT I'm not going to. I am proud of myself for even buying it to begin with so I'm going to like it. Practice, Practice!
The background was made with more templates, stamps, inks, paint, and pan pastels.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Go Create and Be Extraordinary!
I had no idea they had "people templates!" Because of your post I did a search and saw SEVERAL shapes I recognize from your work. :) Nice to know they're there, and to see how well they work. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up on the Crafters Workshop. Your journal page is lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour journal page is wonderful and while I can draw faces, they are always a struggle and something I have to think about, even after years of being and art teacher and showing people how to do it... practice helps and this is great, you would never know you had trouble if you hadn't told us !!!
