Unfinished Projects: Art Journal --- Wanderlust

Hi Everyone!
I've been working in my art journals lately. Working, going to the gym and getting home around 8PM cuts time away from the art. I have found that I'm reaching for started journal pages, canvas, and collage projects and trying to finish them.

This art journal spread was a page I used for left over paint and modeling paste.  Here the left over modeling paste through the Wanderlust stencil was a great start and with new eye I finished it.

The Crafter’s Workshop provided me with stencils and mediums to create this project.
The opinions I share are solely my own because I do love to use them.

I used Faber-Castell Gelatos to add color to the background by using my fingers. Using the Wild Blooms stencil I added the flowers with white paint first. When it dried, I added TCW Heavy Body Paint to add more color. I used the white paint first so the colors stay true and don't mix with the Gelatos.

I used my alpha stamp set to add the words "Life is an" to complete the journal page.

I think I may be on a roll with using unfinished projects. I actually have a closet full of them. How many unfinished projects do you have?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

FINDING ART - CHICAGO PART II

Welcome back!
Today I have a few more pictures of art in Chicago.

We went downtown and found an art show on Michigan Avenue being held on Pioneer Court. In the middle of the art show was Abraham Lincoln handing a young man the Gettysburg Address. You can read all about it HERE.

Here are a few pieces of art including a couch!

I think I would love to throw paint on a couch.

Here are some close ups.

When you're shopping look around the store, you will probably see some art.

Here is a close up of the circles.

Even cleats can be a work of art.

 I love Chicago's buildings.

Music is art!

Remember look up, down and all the way around to find art!

FINDING ART - CHICAGO PART I

In July I visited my daughter in Chicago for my Mother's Day trip. May it's too chilly in Chicago but love summer time in the city.

I love finding art where ever I go. My parents always told me to always look around, pay attention to the world around you.

Today, I have pictures of the the art I found plus a few art journal pages that I created on my down time.

Enjoy!

On the train into the city there is lots of graffiti on the tracks, trains, buildings but the train goes by so fast I don't always get good pictures.

Walking in my daughter's neighborhood there a quite a few murals.

Always look up you'll be amazed at what you see.

Of course by the lake there are many gardens.
Natures art.

Here are my art journal pages I completed.

I hope you enjoyed the art I found.
Remember look up, look down, look all around. You may miss some art!
